Our SLEW class is back in a new 2 day format for 2016!

Day one is our usual day of presentations and discussion of the many facets of legitimate self-defense with handguns to include:

  • Dynamics of Lethal Encounters: What to Expect

  • Fire For Effect: Effective Response to the Extreme Lethal Attack

  • The Problem – Review of Several “Close Encounters of the Worst Kind”.

  • Countering Attack – Mechanisms of Collapse Ballistics

  • Training for the Fight of Your Life!

  • The Survival Chain: Four Critical “Links” by Which Your Survival Hangs.

  • Legal Issues of Lethal Force Justification

Day two is a full day of applying these discussions into practical defense scenarios and drills.

Walter A. Sholar - Practicing Attorney (33 years); Retired Prosecutor (24 + years); Peace Officer; Adjunct Instructor @ LMPD Academy, Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office and Bullitt County Sheriff’s Office; NRA Certified Instructor – Pistol, Rifle, Shotgun, PPITH, PPOH, CRSO.

What to Bring

  • Self-defense handgun in 9mm/.38 Spl. or larger
  • Holster to draw from
  • 2 spare magazines or speed loaders
  • 250 rounds of ammo
  • Hearing protection and eye protection
  • Snacks of your choice

Cost

$100 to attend just Day 1 or $150 for both days. Class is limited to 50 slots (Tuition refundable in the event of a class cancellation.)
